City Bans Dogs Barking

The Ukranian city of Kherson has enacted a law which makes it illegal for dogs to bark between the hours of 10pm and 8)aam in an effort to make the community quieter for residents.
The law also covers cats miaowing and pigs grunting, so say reports.

Owners of barking dogs caught breaking the new rule will be subject to a fine of up to £65.
Opposition to the law has come in the form of complaints that it may be hard, if not impossible to enforce.
